Sierra Club - Sludge + Energy Campaign Social Design
The Sierra Club works to protect communities and the environment by advocating for a transition away from polluting fossil fuels and toward a clean, equitable energy future. For its Sludge and Clean Energy initiatives, the organization used social media as a tool to translate complex environmental issues into clear, accessible information—raising awareness around the impacts of fossil fuel pollution while educating audiences on the possibilities of renewable energy. The campaigns were designed to make urgent environmental topics easier to understand, share, and act on, helping the Sierra Club reach broader audiences and build public support for cleaner, healthier communities.
To help them accomplish this, I developed a flexible social design system for the Sierra Club’s Sludge and Clean Energy campaigns, translating complex environmental messaging into clear, engaging content. Working within the existing brand identity, I created modular carousel templates using bold typography, photography, and illustration—giving the team a cohesive, scalable system for ongoing advocacy and education.
