How to make Friends as an Adult

This is a project I created during my time taking design classes at Parsons. The goal of our assignment was to create a “How-To” booklet, demonstrating how to do any task or activity.

I came up with this concept pretty quickly, because as a recent college graduate I had been navigating this myself at the time. After some research and moodboarding, I came up with the concept and tone, going in a more youthful and playful direction to match the subject matter and direction of the booklet itself. I wanted a carefree and youthful feel to
remind folks of the ease and fun making friends once was as a kid. Each illustration is hand drawn by me, and the book is technically written by me as well.
